Finally, after who knows how long, the old motor is on the way out! A mixture of no time, too much research, and I hate to say the lack of interest I got a second wind and attacked again with full force. I know it only took me a few hours to get the motor out of the clip, but for some reason when working with the whole car it took longer?!?! Who would have though that... LOL
Getting everything loose and disconnected so life is easy when its time to drop it out.
Everything is about ready to drop this motor out now, it just needs to have the motor lifted so I can remove the crossmember bolts and the front motor mount then it will hit the floor. ( not literally )
Its about that time.
Now that the bumper cover is off i can move the engine hoist closer to the car without worrying about messing anything up. It is also going to make it easier to lift the car higher in just a few minuets.
The crossmember bolts are now out and the motor is sitting on the floor.
The rest of the car is on its way back up again, only this time leaving the old motor behind...

Up up and away! Ya, I had to get the car pretty high to get the motor out from under it. But it needed to be done and its OUT!
I never thought i would see a sight quite like this. A wide angle lenes would have been much better, but needless to say when I stood up in there the sides of the car were still higher than me. ( 6'1")
